Homecoming. Every student looks forward to it, whether playing a sport, cheering, band, color guard, mascot, or fan. It is a coming together of students, parents, teachers, and alumni to cheer on The Maples. This year was no exception as many Upward Bound students participated in Homecoming 2015.
Adrian High School recognized the top 13 students in grades 9-11 in both reading and math; totally 78 students. Out of those 78 students are four outstanding Upward Bound students: Ava Rufner 9th grade Delilah Mateo 9th grade Keici Suchman 10th grade Alexia Ferguson 10th grade Congratulations to our top scorers! ************************************************************************************************************ Every student in the United States is required take the NWEA Standardized Test. Adrian High School acknowledged its highest scoring NWEA students by awarding them with ice cream. The principal Mr. Orman, Mr. Perez, and Mr. Roberts bought ice cream for the students. The top 10 students in reading and math from each grade were awarded with ice cream from Frosty Boy on Wednesday, October 14. Each student received a medium ice cream of their choice. Not everyone showed up, however, the kids that showed up had a lot of fun joking and messing around together. Many students met new people and made new friends.
