June 29 Upward Bound students traveled to Tecumseh to bowl at Ten Pin Bowling Alley and amazing time. The first game students bowled significantly different from standard bowling. Instead of just bowling students followed a list of varied activites for the first frame; for example, bowl with our non-dominant hand, backwards, partner, granny style. Ten different requirements to gain points, a different way for every frame. After the first game students bowled in the normal manner; three games in all. we played regular bowling. Before bowling started, students were treated to a variety of homemade pizza.
The fun really started when the lights off and the black light illumined the bright shirts and bowling balls; it was a lot of fun and very challenging. It was the best memory of the summer so far. I love that Upward Bound provides these trips and they should keep doing them
Friends were made and students made memories.
